Native Nations can serve as powerful source of inspiration for staff within sponsor organizations, fostering a sense of purpose, cultural awareness, a commitment to social responsibility and providing tangible training tools to help build cultural capability from within.
Native Nations has recently formalised a groundbreaking partnership with AU, a global digital learning and consulting company, in order to develop an online learning tool for our Tourism Trade Partners and Suppliers. Together, we aim to create a fresh, global approach to indigenous tourism training, featuring content directly from indigenous tourism operators.
This partnership is about more than building capability; it's about driving a movement toward cultural understanding, sustainability, and authentic engagement with indigenous communities worldwide. AU will create innovative learning solutions tailored to the diverse needs of tourism sellers, equipping them and their staff with the tools needed to respectfully understand, promote, and sell indigenous tourism experiences globally.
All sponsors and partners of Native Nations – Tracing Indigenous Footsteps will have access to discounted pricing for these online learning modules for their staff within their organisation, which have been developed and designed to help build global indigenous cultural capability from Head Office (Contract/Product Negotiations, Sales and Marketing) through to reservations staff, tour guides and drivers on the ground.
A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these modules will be reinvested into Native Nations to support indigenous youth exchanges around the globe. This partnership contributes to the well-being of our rangatahi and indigenous communities worldwide.
By supporting a campaign that promotes indigenous youth empowerment, cultural exchange, and sustainable tourism practices, sponsor organizations can align their values and mission with socially responsible and inclusive initiatives. This alignment can inspire staff members by giving them a sense of purpose and connection to the organization's larger goals, fostering a shared commitment to making a positive impact on society and the environment.
Engaging with initiatives that focus on indigenous cultures and traditions can help staff members develop a deeper understanding of cultural diversity, heritage, and the importance of preserving and respecting different cultural perspectives. This exposure can cultivate cultural awareness and sensitivity within the organization, encouraging staff to approach their work with a more inclusive and empathetic mindset.
Supporting initiatives that promote cultural exchange and collaboration can provide valuable learning opportunities for staff members to expand their knowledge, skills, and cultural competence. Staff involvement in planning and implementing these initiatives can offer professional development opportunities, such as Native Nations Indigenous Training Modules (THIS WILL EVENTUALLY BE A LINK TO ONLINE TRAINING MODULES WE ARE DEVELOPING), which will develop their indigenous cultural knowledge and understanding, enhance effective cross-cultural communication, nurture cross cultural relationship-building which can enhance their capabilities and contribute to their personal growth, and overall business strategies.
Being part of a sponsorship that supports meaningful and impactful initiatives can boost employee engagement and morale within the organization. Staff members who feel proud of their organization’s commitment to social responsibility and cultural diversity are more likely to be motivated, loyal, and invested in their work. This sense of pride can strengthen employee retention, foster a positive organizational culture, and attract like-minded individuals who share the organization’s values.
Engaging with indigenous communities and promoting cultural exchange can inspire sponsor organizations to prioritize diversity and inclusion within their own workforce. This inspiration can lead to the development of internal diversity and inclusion initiatives, cultural awareness workshops, and employee resource groups, that foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment where all voices are valued and respected.
Native Nations can serve as catalysts for inspiring staff within sponsor organizations, encouraging the building of cultural capability from within. By aligning with initiatives that promote cultural awareness, sustainability, and social responsibility, organizations can empower their staff, foster a sense of purpose and connection, and cultivate a more inclusive and engaged workforce that values diversity and cultural sensitivity.
